Join artist and gallery owner Jenny Liscombe-Newman for a Hammered Texture Earring Workshop!
Create your own earrings! In this workshop, Instructor Jenny Newman will teach you some basic jewelry/metalsmithing skills such as:
--Using a punch
--Using a flex shaft tool for drilling
--Using planishing hammers to add texture
--Finishing work
After punching out two thin brass disks for your earrings, we will experiment with different hammer textures to find one you like. Then, once you hammer your earrings, we will use a flex shaft to drill holes into them and add the French hook ear wires. Students will leave with their very own pair of hammered texture earrings! Adults, older teens, and beginners welcome.
$30 + $10/materials fee/person
